ZTR Control Systems says that its Rail Division products are now in use in Africa, Australia, Europe, and all of the Americas, and this growing demand has prompted an increasing need for qualified personnel—30% more by year-end 2014.

ZTR has already increased the number of employees in its Rail Division by 15% and plans to increase by another 15% over the next 6 months. “Part of the reason for this growing demand is the awareness by international railways of the locomotive reliability improvement U.S. and Canadian railroads have been enjoying by implementing ZTR products over the past 25 years,” the company says. With products like the NEXSYS™ III-i Locomotive Control System, SmartStart® Automatic Engine Start Stop (AESS), and a number of new locomotive improvement products, ZTR can help add up to 20 years of life to an aging locomotive.”

ZTR says career opportunities are available in engineering, product marketing, technical support, and software development in London, Ontario, and Shakopee, Minnesota. More information about a career at ZTR is available at www.ztr.com/careers. Also, ZTR will be exhibiting at RSI/CMA in Montreal, Canada, September 21-23, booth #401; and at InnoTrans in Berlin, Germany, September 23-26, Hall 6.2, Stand 509. You may also e-mail railinfo@ztr.com, or call 1-952-233-4340.

“ZTR provides locomotive modernization solutions that improve performance, reliability, and efficiency,” the company says. “As locomotive modernization experts, ZTR Control Systems helps railroads gain an additional 15-20 service years out of locomotives with the NEXSYS™ III-i system, the industry leading fuel and emissions reduction system SmartStart®, and new products like KickStart™ and the Locomotive Axle Generator.”
