AAR Associate Membership grows by five

Five companies joined the Association of American Railroads as Associate Members in June 2014.

Ferus Natural Gas Fuels: Gold Associate Member. Ferus is a North American-based group of companies whose specialty is delivering integrated solutions to the energy industry for well stimulation, well completions, and enhanced oil recovery. It provides a dedicated supply of cryogenic fluids, as well as the related logistical services to deliver those products where needed, when needed. Ferus Natural Gas Fuels Inc. and LP provides LNG/CNG supply and fueling options to the oil and gas industry, mining, rail, and marine applications. Primary product and service lines include liquid nitrogen (N2), liquid carbon dioxide (CO2), natural gas fuels, transportation, storage, and on-site services.

• Alberta Agriculture & Rural Development: Silver Associate Member. The primary focus of Alberta Agriculture & Rural Development is on Government of Alberta Goal 1, “Alberta will have a diversified and prosperous economy under the key opportunity of Unleashing Innovation. The ministry achieves this by working with others to promote prosperity for Alberta through a strong, competitive, sustainable agriculture and food industry.”

• Australian Rail Track Corporation: Silver Associate Member. ARTC currently has responsibility for the management of more than 5,200 rout-miles of standard gauge interstate track in the Australian states of South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales. ARTC also manages the Hunter Valley coal rail network and other regional rail links in New South Wales. ARTC has a wholesale agreement in place with the Western Australia Government giving ARTC rights to sell access to interstate services between Kalgoorlie, Perth and the Port of Kwinana. In addition to ARTC’s own capital investment programs, it has also received investment funding from the Australian government. The major operators using the ARTC owned or leased network are: Freightliner, Genesee and Wyoming Australia, Great Southern Railway, Qube Logistics, Pacific National, P&O Transport Australia, Aurizon, RailCorp, Specialised Container Transport, and Vline Passenger Service.

• Metelmex Group: Silver Associate member. GRUPO METELMEX S.A. DE C.V. is a steel bar grating manufacturer and fabricator. Since 1981 it has supplied grating and other services to all kinds of businesses and industries around the world, “always assuring quality and competitive prices to our customers. The steel bar grating is manufactured in accordance with the National Association of Architectural Metal Manufacturers (NAAMM) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

• Westermo Americas: Silver Associate Member. Westermo design and manufacture robust data communication devices for harsh environments. It supplies products that provide the communication infrastructure, derived from proven commercial technology, for control and monitoring systems that are used in mission critical solutions where commercial grade products are not sufficiently resilient.
