Innotrans 2014, the global gathering on transport technology to take place in Berlin, Germany, from Sept. 23-26, 2014, will include a trade fair segment Tunnel Construction in Hall 5.2. The segment "features numerous exhibitors from Germany and abroad with their solutions for the maintenance of tunnels and for new construction work," show sponsors said Thursday, Aug. 28.

Exhibitors "include such well known names as Amberg Engineering, Dräger, Herrenknecht, Talleres Zitrón, and Woertz," sponsors said.

As well, powerful tunnel boring machines, construction materials and the latest communication and safety equipment can be seen. "The display in the Tunnel Construction segment will also include special services such as the preparation of risk analyses and fire safety assessments.

"In addition, companies in other segments of the trade show, such as Railway Infrastructure are also presenting new technology for tunnels. In total, around 250 companies are displaying innovative products and services for the tunnel construction sector at InnoTrans 2014, the sponsors said.
