Myles brings to Marsh more than 25 years of experience in freight and passenger railroad operations, with specialties in locomotive and railcar design and manufacture, quality assurance, risk assessment, and safety evaluation. In his new role, he will act as a key railway operations and safety advisor to Marsh clients.
Myles joins Marsh from LTK Engineering Services, where he provided specification development and product delivery technical services to various passenger railroad and transit clients. He spent more than 20 years at Amtrak in various engineering positions, providing a range of project management and technical support to maintenance staff during the operation, maintenance, and design of passenger cars and diesel and electric locomotives.
Myles is based in Washington, D.C. and reports to Marsh Global Rail Practice Leader Jim Beardsley.
“Marsh’s approach to railroad risk management encompasses all segments of railway transportation and its supplier networks globally,” said Beardsley. “Since rolling stock is a key component of the railway’s business structure, Kevin Myles’ expertise in vehicle technology and manufacture will help Marsh deliver valuable insurance solutions and risk management strategies to help our clients mitigate exposures.”
