British-based Nomad Digital Ltd. said Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 it has completed a Wi-Fi installation for one of VIA Rail Canada's long-distance trains, the Ocean.
Available to passengers on the Quebec City-Windsor corridor, the installation falls under a five-year $6.3 million contract, where Nomad will design, install, operate, and maintain the Wi-Fi infrastructure for VIA Rail - to keep passengers connected and entertained throughout their journey.
Said Haydn Abbott, Nomad's Interim CEO, "Not only is this a significant step in Nomad's North American growth, but it's also a credit to the success of Nomad's previous work with VIA Rail. We're delighted to play a part in the modernization process for one of the continent's most reputable passenger trains."
