Registration and hotel reservations have begun for Railway Interchange 2015, show host organizations announced Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015.
Railway Interchange 2015 will be held Sunday, Oct. 4 through Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, as it was in 2011, when the biennial event debuted.
Railway Interchange 2015 exhibition showcases the latest technology, services, and research by members of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA), and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI).
Also feataured are technical presentations and discussions by members of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA). CMA organizations include the Air Brake Association, the International Association of Railway Operating Officers, the League of Railway Industry Women, the Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association and Mechanical Association Railcar Technical Services.
With more than 400,000 square feet of combined indoor exhibit display space, and more than 1.5 miles of combined outdoor on and off-track exhibits, Railway Interchange 2015 is the largest combined railway exhibition and technical conference in North America, according to event organizers.
"Railway Interchange 2015 will build on the success of the 2013 event in Indianapolis, which attracted more than 7,800 attendees and 657 exhibitors from more than 40 countries around the world. This year AREMA's Conference Program will include nearly 70 technical presentations over three days and a variety of educational seminars," said AREMA Interim Executive Director and CEO Larry L. Etherton, PE.
RSI President Tom Simpson said, "Much of RSI's available exhibit space – both indoors and at the outdoor rail yard exhibit area – has already been reserved."
REMSA Executive Director of Trade Shows David Soule noted, "Booth sales for us are even stronger than they were at this time in 2013."
"We have been amazed by the early interest in exhibit space; we are looking at a record-early sellout date," said RSSI Executive Director Secretary/Treasurer Michael A. Drudy.
