Canadian National Railway (CN) announced Dec. 17, 2015 that the 2016 CN Employees' and Pensioners' Community Fund (the Fund) campaign raised a record C$1,857,920 for charities across Canada.
Over the past 10 years, the Fund has raised more than C$13.5 million in donations to help those in need throughout Quebec and Ontario, and starting in 2013, across the country, the railway said.
Serge Leduc, Co-President of Campaign 2016 and CN Vice President and Chief Information Officer, said: "These record-breaking results make all of us at CN very proud. This unprecedented success is the direct result of every donor's generosity and the outstanding dedication of our volunteers."
"Thank you to everyone involved for making this an incredible year, and for helping make a real difference in the lives of so many,” said Tom Hosfield, Co-President of Campaign 2016 and a CN locomotive engineer in Manitoba.
Every dollar raised by the Fund goes directly to organizations that employees and pensioners wish to support.
