The Railway Supply Institute (RSI) has promoted Amanda Patrick to the position of Vice President of Trade Shows and Member Relations, the association announced Jan. 14, 2016.
RSI President Tom Simpson said, “Amanda’s elevation to vice president is a well-deserved recognition of her expertise, accomplishments, and dedication to advancing the interests of our members and the railway supply industry. She has steadily enhanced the professionalism and scope of RSI’s trade shows, website presence and industry outreach.”
Patrick, who came to RSI in 2008 as Trade Show and Marketing Manager, is responsible for planning and managing exhibitions and sponsorships for the annual RSI/Coordinated Mechanical Associations conference and trade show and the organization’s presence at international exhibitions. She also coordinates RSI’s exhibition for the biennial Railway Interchange event, the largest U.S.-based technical conference and trade show for the railroad industry. In her new position, Patrick also oversees marketing activities and member relations initiatives.
Before joining RSI, Patrick worked with Cassidy & Associates, a government relations firm. She started her career in Washington as a program instructor at the nonprofit Close Up Foundation.
Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) with the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, Patrick also serves on the executive committee of the League of Railway Industry Women (LRIW). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Southeast Missouri State University.
