Portland, Ore.'s TriMet says it is ready to launch a mobile ticketing app Wednesday, Sept. 4, for TriMet riders with smartphones.
"TriMet Tickets" will allow users to buy and display tickets on smartphones after providing credit card or debit card information into a secure account. The tickets can be used to ride buses, TriMet's MAX light rail transit, WES Commuter Rail, and the Portland Streetcar.
The app was developed in partnership with Portland-based software provider GlobeSherpa.
