The Association of American Railroads (AAR) updated on Aug. 24, 2016 crude oil carload numbers for second-quarter 2016:
U.S. Class I railroads originated 56,454 carloads of crude oil in the second quarter of 2016, down 6,807 carloads or 10.8% from the first quarter of 2016 and down 54,614 carloads or 49.2% from the second quarter of 2015.
