Change thy bookmarks: STB's new website

Written by: Ben Vient, Managing EditorThe Surface Transportation Board is advising the public of an upcoming change to its Internet website address. After the close of business on Friday, September 9, 2016, the agency’s website address will be converted to “www.stb.gov” replacing its current address, “www.stb.dot.gov.”

The address change reflects the STB’s status as a wholly independent federal agency, as a result of the STB Reauthorization Act of 2015, which eliminated the STB’s administrative affiliation with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

In connection with this change, the agency’s website will be unavailable from 5:00 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Friday, September 2, 2016 and from 5:00 pm on Friday, September 9 to 11:59 pm on Saturday, September 10.
