Urban Services, Inc. announced that Sherry Williams, PE, has been hired as a senior project manager. Ms. Williams comes to the firm with 20 years’ experience in railway and roadway design, including 10 years at the Texas Department of Transportation.

“Sherry is an exceptional professional and we are thrilled to have her join our southwest operation,” said Urban Vice President and Southwest Regional Manager Thomas LeBeau. “Her technical experience working with rail and transit agencies will complement our expanding transportation services in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area and throughout the country.”

She is also a member of WTS, the American Society of Highway Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association.

Ms. Williams specializes in providing conceptual layouts through final design for Class I railroads, short lines, and industrial rail clients. This includes design of sidings, intermodal facilities, rail yards, turnout locations, at-grade crossings, over and underpasses, and signing. She also has experience developing roadway schematics and plans, specifications, and estimates for complex urban highway projects.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, where she earned a degree in civil engineering, Ms. Williams most recently worked at MULTATECH.
