WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff appoints Galloway VP

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has named long-time Amtrak executive Drew Galloway as Vice President, Transit and Rail Planning Director. He will be based in the firm’s Newark, N.J. office.

Galloway will provide guidance and oversight on major projects and initiatives involving rail systems, railroads and transit agencies. He will be responsible for the leadership, direction and management of planning and engineering services for the delivery of transit and rail projects. He will also serve as leader, technical resource and project manager to support the firm’s transit and rail planning initiatives across the country.

Galloway has more than 30 years of experience in all phases and aspects of rail planning, analysis and operations including master plans, service development plans, terminal plans and capital programs. Before joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was Deputy Chief of Planning for Amtrak, based in the organization’s Philadelphia office. During his 19-year career with Amtrak, he was responsible for a broad range of activities including rail corridor planning, station and terminal development, and negotiating freight railroad operating agreements.

Prior to Amtrak, Galloway was with NJ Transit, where he was Director of Rail Service Planning.

Galloway earned a bachelor of science degree in transportation law and economics from Niagara University. He is a member of the Transportation Research Board, the American Planning Association and various professional industry organizations.
