Savage announced Oct. 25 the start of transloading in Daveport, Iowa.
Bulk material handling and rail transloading services will occur at the Trans Load Facility (TLF) on 10 acres of land located in the heart of the Quad Cities.
The TLF has direct access to the CP rail line and over 20 railcar spots and 20,000 square feet of indoor warehousing with indoor railcar and truck loading/unloading.
Savage hopes the TLF is uniquely positioned to serve the region by rail. Savage has extensive experience transloading, managing logistics and operating rail terminals that handle multiple commodities.
Savage’s transload services include the handling, loading and distribution of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
“We are pleased to offer our services and transload expertise to the TLF’s existing and new customers,” said Dan Price, VP Business Development – Transload Solutions Unit for Savage. “Transloading services at the TLF will allow companies in the greater Quad Cities a more flexible option to get their products to market.”
