The Association of American Railroads announced Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, the addition of three companies to its membership roster.
Alphabetically, the additions are:
Associação Nacional dos Transportadores Ferroviários (ANTF), which has joined the AAR as an International Railroad Affiliate Member. ANTF is a civil nonprofit that promotes the development and improvement of rail transportation in Brazil. The ANTF currently brings together companies responsible for transporting the cargo for 11 of the 12 railway concessions from Brazil's state owned national railway company, which became privatized between 1996 and 1998.
Bureau Veritas, joining as a Gold Associate Member. Bureau Veritasis a global testing, inspection, and certification services firm which aims to help its clients meet the growing challenges of quality, safety, environmental protection, and social responsibility.
Strobel Starostka Transfer, LLC, which also has joined as a Gold Associate Member. Strobel Staroska Transfer is a transload facility operator for the energy industry with experience handling transload operations for crude oil, frac sand, ethanol, methanol, biodiesel, hydrochloric acid, drilling mud and pipe of all sizes and lengths. Based in Mustang, Okla., the company manages more than 200 employees across five states.
