The USA Pavilion at last month's Business on Rails (NT Expo) trade show in São Paulo, Brazil, co-hosted by Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) and The Railway Supply Institute (RSI), "was such a success that more exhibit space has been reserved for next year's NT Expo," representatives said Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.

This year's NT Expo, held Nov. 5-7, logged 8,300 attendees and had 210 total exhibitors, including the 10 companies in the USA Pavilion, RSI and REMSA said.

"Our meetings with the NT Expo organizers in São Paulo will improve communications for the next USA Pavilion in 2014. REMSA and RSI look forward to future shows in Brazil," said REMSA Executive Director David Soule.

Said RSI President Tom Simpson, "Our exhibitors said they were happy with the turnkey service our USA Pavilion provided, which let them focus on selling their products, not managing the exhibit space. With the knowledge gained this year, we will focus on enhancing the overall experience for exhibitors in the future." Many expressed interest in exhibiting at NT Expo 2014, Simpson noted.

The RSI/REMSA exhibiting companies were: Arkansas Industrial Computing, Diversified Metal Fabricators, Inc. (DMF), Georgetown Rail Equipment Co., IONX LLC (Amsted Rail), Koppers, Inc., Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc., Motive Equipment Inc., NxGen Rail Services, Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI), and Whitmore Rail.

Services provided to USA Pavilion exhibitors included: booth design, food and beverage, internet services, on site translators, a report on the Brazil rail market, pre-show assistance with translations and visas, and marketing distributed in Brazil to announce the USA Pavilion.

"The quality of visitors was excellent, and the USA pavilion provided support and a comfortable place to engage our clients in business conversations," said Ruben Peña, Government/Security and Latin America Projects manager with the Transportation Technology Center, Inc.

"Expanding our track maintenance machinery and services business in the global market is a key goal for us; the USA Pavilion allowed us to concentrate on making connections in Brazil," said Erin L. Oldenburg, OEM operations administrative assistant with Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc.

NT Expo 2014 will be held Nov. 11-13, 2014, returning to São Paulo. Sales of exhibit space for the USA Pavilion will begin in early 2014. Click here for further information on Business on Rails.
