Five incumbents and one new member will serve on the newly constituted Board of Directors for the National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association (NRC), NRC President Chuck Baker announced late Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013.
Joining the board is RJ Corman Railroad Group Vice President, Strategic Sales & marketing Nathan Henderson. Henderson has 17 years of industry experience, and during the past three years "has been with RJ Corman Railroad Group as Vice President of Strategic Sales and Marketing, as well as Vice President of Operations. He is also an active member of AREMA, ASLRRA, RSI, RSSI, along with other local associations," NRC said.
Reelected to the Board were: Coleman Industrial Construction President Stephanie Freeman; RailWorks Corp. Vice President, Business Freight Rail Infrastructurer Jim Hansen; Herzog Contracting Corp. Vice President Norm Jester; Stacy and Witbeck Business Development Manager Jody Sims; and Balfour Beatty Rail, Inc. Vice President Mark Snailham.
The six members will join the other 14 current Board members "at the NRC Conference beginning Sunday, Jan. 5, in Palm Desert," Calif., NRC said.
"There was a high voter turnout this year and the election was tightly contested," Baker said. " I have again received feedback that this was a particularly strong group of candidates for the NRC Board and that the decisions were tough. I think this all reflects very well on the NRC and the candidates. I'd like to thank all of the candidates for running this year, and for their continued dedication to the success of the NRC and the entire rail construction and maintenance industry."
