Alsip, Ill.-based Railhead Systems says it has begun shipping locomotive video systems to National Railway Equipment Co.'s (NREC) factory in Paducah, Ky., in keeping with an OEM contract awarded last January.
Through NREC, the custom locomotive video systems will be delivered to Pacific National of Australia throughout this year and 2015, Railhead Systems says, noting, "Locomotive video is becoming increasingly popular as a way to improve employee training practices and avoid costly litigation."
North Sydney, Australia-based Pacific National is a major freight railroad covering most of the nation (and continent). It is a subsidiary of Melbourne-based Asciano Ltd., a freight rail and port operator.
