Simmons-Boardman Rail Group, which consists of Railway Age, Railway Track & Structures (RT&S), and International Railway Journal (IRJ), has been awarded the event guide contract and emedia partner for Railway Interchange 2015.
Simmons-Boardman Rail Group plans to provide comprehensive news coverage of the event through the event guide, a dedicated news channel on its trio of magazine websites, as well as offer updates via newsletters and integrated marketing campaigns.
Starting Aug. 4, staff from Railway Age, RT&S and IRJ will cover Railway Interchange 2015 pre-show, live from the show floor, and post-show. This coverage will be featured on a special channel on RailwayAge.com dedicated solely to Railway Interchange 2015. The channel will also be featured in the main channel navigation on RT&S and IRJ.
"We're excited to partner with the respected associations that are organizing Railway Interchange 2015 and look forward to providing exclusive content dedicated to show news coverage through our website, as well as publishing an event guide that will enhance the attendee experience," said Jonathon Chalon, publisher of Simmons-Boardman Rail Group.
The show will feature technical and educational presentations hosted by the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations, which include the Air Brake Association, International Association of Railway Operating Officers, Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association, Mechanical Association Railcar Technical Services and League of Railway Industry Women. There will also be combined exhibits hosted by Railway Supply Institute, Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc.
"AREMA's Program Committee is working hard to ensure that AREMA's Technical Conference presentations (nearly 70 over three days) provide Railway Interchange 2015 attendees the opportunity to increase their knowledge base. I strongly encourage the attendees take advantage of this excellent educational opportunity," said Larry Etherton, interim executive director and chief executive officer of AREMA.
Railway Interchange 2015, the U.S.-based combined exhibition and technical conference will take place Sunday, October 4, through Tuesday, October 7, at the Minneapolis Convention Center and BNSF's Northtown yard. Exhibits will be held October 4-6.
